Hey guys!! Sorry I have been MIA for awhile, I've been vacationing, raising money to start a new business venture, and enjoying these last days of summer. About a month ago I went to go visit a friend in St. Charles and check out their snocone scene. I ran across Tropical Sno which I believe is a chain of snocone stands but never the less needed to be tasted.
Molly O's/Tropical Sno is located in New Town for all of you people in St. Charles who know where that is! They have a big parking lot to park in as well as dinner choices if you need some real food before chowing down on a snocone. Oh yeah, and you can get a nice bowl of chili from the stand itself! Who knew. Crazy stuff.

Now for the breakdown:
Quality of Shaved Ice: This ice was pretty fluffy, like a bunch of fluffy snow fell directly into my cup. They have a nice shaver back there.

Amount of Juice: The amount of juice was quite fair, there was a ton of shaved ice they did a good job making sure the top had plenty of syrup.
Selection: I felt like their selection was quite different from other places. They definitely have a lot of mixers that they've already tested that they want you to try as well as a lot of fruity flavors. I feel like they focused a lot more on fruit than other snocone stands do and they didn't have any goofy flavors that you had to guess what they were. Not sure how I feel about that. I kind of like to try weird flavors and guess what they are.
Flavor: I have to say that my other two snocone friends loved their snocones, but I enjoy a different kind of sweetness. I think the fruit flavors that I got were just a little too sweet and artifical tasting, but the guys loved theirs. Coming from a great flavor mixer and taster, I wasn't super impressed.
Toppings: They did have vanilla flavor which is hard to see but pretty good. I wish they would've put a bit more on but I enjoyed it. I think that's the only topping they have to offer however.

Seating: They had two very nice benches with umbrellas in the parking lot. I enjoyed that they had their own little area. AND THEY HAD HOOLA HOOPS! That was the best part by far.
Friendliness: Very friendly high school kids. Hope that the guy finally got the girl by the end of the summer. She was a little out of his league though.
Location: It was definitly St. Charles. So a clean parking lot with chain restaurants around. What are you gonna do?

Price: Though the small is 2.50 the thing is GINORMOUS. So you get a pretty good amount for what you pay for. This place could use a junior size!
All in all a great snocone experience in St. Charles. They really got something good going on with those hoola hoops I tell ya what!!
Look for my next blog post on S&J's!! Coming very soon :)
